Bandish Bandits Web Series Review: A story about the politics of music

For those who have a passion for Hindi web series in the country, the new video series ‘Bandish Bandits’ of Prime Video is an extension of Indian music, in which the greatest musician of the West wants to dive once. Amritpal Singh Bindra, who has worked with Yash Raj Films, has tried to shed music on digital with Anand Tiwari, who has created ‘Love on Square Foot’, but the case has become more chitralok type. Watching the series take off at the hype of digital debut of Shankar Ehsaan Loy and Naseeruddin Shah is like traveling in an airplane undergoing bad weather.

Bandish Bandits had high expectations from those who watched the trailer rewind over and over again. The stately havelis of Rajputana. The clash between the master of music and the protégé. The new generation goes beyond the restrictions of the vocals to create restrictions that can accommodate whatever is good outside, bright colors, flashy performances, everything creates the ideal conditions for the setup of a rock musical.

Somebody remembered the film ‘Sarfarosh’ with it, and ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’. The makers of the series must also have memories of these two films, and in the process of escaping from these two, the series repeatedly collides with the surrounding environment. Dent falls on the idea and the journey continues. If you want to listen to some good music, singers like Shankar Mahadevan and Javed Ali have put all their hard work into making the music of this series soothing and you will enjoy it, but no story can be drawn on songs alone. And, the story itself is the weakest link of Bandish Bandits.

The story of Bandish Bandits, the new web series of Prime Video, is the story of the attraction and distraction between Radhe and Tamanna. Radhe’s legacy is that of a classical music house and Tamanna is a pop star. The two meet to form a business relationship, but both realize a new bridge of emotions. The story continues with both ends standing in their own place and following the footsteps of other people associated with these two characters on this bridge. The weakest link in this story is all the setups in the story, but in order to pay them, their writers could not understand anything new. The script of the series raises questions for further, but as it progresses, it brings some more new questions to the audience. The missing questions of the passed story remain untouched there.

Like the making of Hindi cinema, the content of Hindi OTT is also being made in the country. A handful of people have started circling from Netflix to Prime Video, Voot, Sony Live and other OTTs. New camps are being formed. New equations are being created and it is a matter of pride that OTTs like G5 are still successful in creating a stir in this stagnant water. In ‘Bandish Bandits’, however, Ritwik Bhowmik and Shreya Chaudhary, the artistes who portray the heroine heroine, have worked hard on their part to establish a relationship with the audience. However, his characters are not as complex as they appear on the surface. The audience keeps searching for some bombs, firecrackers, sparklers in senior actors like Naseeruddin Shah, Atul Kulkarni and Rajesh Telang in this series, their performances are also impressive but, the issue gets entangled in the expansion of the characters.

You can see Bandish Bandits only if you are already interested in the politics of music. The name of the series is also such that many viewers of the Hindi belt will not understand what the series is all about? By the way, the marketing team of Prime Video is still unaware of where internet data is being spent the most. The series, like him, is a lost story. Time wastes and is unable to provide anything that can be remembered.
